What is the best time to visit Himachal Pradesh for this tour?

The ideal time is March to June (spring/summer) and September to December (autumn/winter). For snow lovers, December to February is perfect for visiting places like Lachen and Yumthang.

Yes, permits are mandatory for North Sikkim. We arrange all required permits for Indian nationals. Foreign nationals can visit Gangtok but need special permissions for North Sikkim.

Due to its high altitude (~17,800 ft), travel to Gurudongmar Lake is not recommended for elderly people, children below 5 years, or individuals with respiratory issues. Please consult your doctor before visiting.

Mobile connectivity is fair in Gangtok but very limited or non-existent in Lachen, Lachung, and Yumthang Valley. BSNL and Airtel have slightly better coverage in remote areas.

Carry layered warm clothing, gloves, woolen caps, and thermals, especially for North Sikkim. Even during summer, the temperatures in Lachen and Yumthang can be quite cold.

Day 1: Arrival in Gangtok

  • Arrival: Reach Gangtok via Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.

  • Transfer: Comfortable drive to your hotel in Gangtok.

  • Evening: Leisure time to explore MG Marg and local markets.

  • Overnight Stay: Hotel in Gangtok.

  • Morning: After breakfast, commence your journey to Lachen (approx. 6 hours).

  • En Route Attractions: Visit Singhik View Point, Seven Sisters Waterfall, and Naga Waterfalls.

  • Afternoon: Arrive in Lachen, a quaint mountain village.

  • Evening: Free time to explore the village and acclimate.

  • Overnight Stay: Hotel in Lachen.

  • Early Morning: Depart for Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft), one of the highest and most sacred lakes in Sikkim.

  • Midday: Return to Lachen for lunch.

  • Afternoon: Proceed to Lachung (approx. 2 hours).

  • Evening: Leisure time in Lachung.

  • Overnight Stay: Hotel in Lachung.

  • Morning: Visit Yumthang Valley, renowned as the ‘Valley of Flowers’ for its vibrant rhododendron blooms.

  • Optional: Excursion to Zero Point (subject to road conditions and permits).

  • Afternoon: Return to Lachung for lunch.

  • Evening: Drive back to Gangtok (approx. 6 hours).

  • Overnight Stay: Hotel in Gangtok.

  • Morning: After breakfast, check out from the hotel.

  • Transfer: Drive to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for your onward journey.

  1. All accommodations are categorized under Standard Rooms. Triple/Quad-sharing arrangements
    accommodate four individuals per room, while double-sharing arrangements include two
    individuals per room.
  2. Please note that hot water for bathing is not provided during the Kedarnath stay.
  3. Children under the age of 5 are not charged; however, only one child is permitted in a group of
    four, and they will be accommodated within the same room.
  4. For children aged 6 to 8, half the adult fare is applicable. Children aged 9 and above are
    considered adults and will be charged accordingly.

Advance Deposit: To secure your tour package, please deposit an advance 30%
of total Amount

Pre-Tour Payment: Kindly ensure that 50% of the total amount is paid with in 5 to 7 Days after booking confirmation date, which is prior to the commencement of the tour. This payment serves as confirmation of your participation.

Final Payment: The remaining balance is to be settled upon your arrival, before
the start of the tour.
